The Process of Getting Started

1

Free Consultation

We start with a short, no-pressure conversation where you can meet with a therapist to ask questions, share what you're looking for help with, and get a feel for how they work. It's a chance to see if the therapist feels like a good fit before committing to a full session—no commitment required, just a space to talk and explore your options.

2

Initial Session

This is the first full meeting where the therapist gets to know you and your story in more depth. You’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any important background information. It’s also a time to ask questions, discuss how therapy works, and start building a comfortable, trusting connection. The focus is on understanding where you’re at and how the therapist can best support you moving forward.

3

Continuing Sessions

Ongoing sessions are the regular follow-up meetings where you and your therapist continue working together on your goals. These sessions give you space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences more deeply, build on insights, and develop practical tools to cope with challenges. It’s a steady, supportive process where progress can unfold over time, and you’re encouraged to reflect, grow, and make meaningful changes at your own pace.
